We've had CircuitPython 4.0.1 stable out for a while, and recently released 5.0.0-alpha.2 which means it's time for a new CircuitPython Library Bundle! The 4.x and 5.x bundles are now available for download at https://.www.circuitpython.org/libraries . We've stopped supporting the 2.x and 3.x bundles, but you can always get access to the final builds on GitHub.

* Most security commands implemented incl. signing, etc.
* Worked on a Certificate Signing Request (CSR) generation module
* CSR passes most validity tests, except signature. Unsure as of time of writing why it’s failing, I’m narrowing it down.
* This’ll let us build AWS IoT CircuitPython devices
* Chatted with an Azure iot dev. about “first five minutes” applied to Circuit Python IoT projects, different types of getting online quickly with azure iot (where the bottlenecks are, how we could possibly reduce them with CircuitPython).
* This is prepping for an eventual future update to our CircuitPython Azure IoT module but using MiniMQTT and ATECC instead of the sluggish HTTP API.

* Finish up ATECC CSR module
* Debugging/fixing the invalid signature

* Nothing major to report CircuitPython-wise. Been heads down in the studio tracking some new songs. Trying to wrap up the album this week, working out the duplicating, packaging, and licensing challenges.
* My AD9833 Precision Waveform Generator FeatherWing (with CircuitPython drivers) generated some interest. To support a low-power version of the AD9833 that he had on-hand, a maker customized the PCB and ordered some OSH Park boards. Seeing his different perspective gave me some useful ideas. Hoorah for open source!
* Oh and used my SMD microscope to tune harmonicas.

* There seems to be a lot happening on the audio side of things. I was at a gathering of musicians last week, and I thought that a PyBadge, modified for audio uses, would make an interesting platform for a “community sequencer” of sorts.

* Debugging bootloader+firmware how to?
* @tannewt In general you don’t need to worry about the bootloader, because debugger runs through bootloader and if you stop, it doesn’t tell you anything. Nothing special needed to let it know about the bootloader because of info in .elf file.
* Tips:
* If you’re crashing, break on reset_into_safe_mode.
* If you’re working on a new port, and you haven’t done it, you can break on hardfault_handler.
